Yep, i'm back! Sorry i havent blogged in so long but i kind of wanted to take a break from blogging and crocheting. I havent crocheted anything in the past two months as i've been trying to focus on me a little bit. I am trying to get a part time job, wish me luck! Anywho, i will try to blog once a week but most likely it wont be crochet related though. Well im off for now.

Evan's Blanket

I finished Evan's baby Blanket, I wish i would have made it a bit bigger but i lost my motivation and to stop. Also Here are the pictures of the hats i made. The blanket is about 30' across from corner to corner.

So i haven't blogged in over a week, i know how horrible of me! Any who i made some more hats and im working on a blanket for Evan, which is almost done. Once it's done i will post pictures. On to another subject, Megan is 4 days from her due date and still no Evan, she went to her dr appointment today and she's only 2 cm dilated.If she doesn't have him before next Tuesday, she goes in for an ultrasound to see how big he is and to pick a day for her to be induced. I hope he comes before tuesday because i want to see his little face. Gosh we're all so anxious! Well thats about all i have to blog about right now, once the blanket is done i will post pictures of it and the hats as i don't feel like posting pictures of the hats right now. Ta Ta

Another Doll and a baby set

Things have been very busy due to my mom having a lot of complications from her surgery and the fact that Megan can go into labor any day now. I have been crocheting though, i made another Air Freshener doll and a baby set for Evan.

Her Name is Caroline

The baby set is a peachy/orange color which is so pretty, those were my first ever pair of booties! I was so proud, i have tried so many patterns and i just couldn't get it.

I dont know why but i got the urge the Thursday to make a doll, i didn't know if i could do it but i DID! I am so happy and proud of it.She is also wearing a witch hat but you cant really see it in the picture... What do you think?

Finished a WIP & some other things

I finished the baby carry along for Evan. Finally, I'm so happy i got this done! I also made a Hat and Mitten set for my moms good friend who just had a baby girl. She had made her a blanket and asked me to make a matching hat and mittens. I also made Evan a pair of mittens a couple weeks ago that i forgot to post a picture of so here they are. I have many more hats and mittens i want to make him so as soon as i have a couple sets made up i will be posting pictures.

More Hats

I made more hats! I love making them, there so easy and cute. I made the Pink and Purple hats for my cousins new baby girl, i modified my pattern to make them smaller for her. The Green hat is for Evan, to go with his blue/white hat. I am in the process of making more. As for a pattern, it is certainly being tested at the ville and if it passes i will add it here for you all.

On another subject, my mom is having surgery tomorrow so I wont be blogging for a little while. Please say a prayer for her, that everything goes fine and she'll have a good recovery.I thank you so much!

Pom Pom Baby Hat

I don't know why but i started making a hat today even with all my unfinished projects. I just made it up as i went, i may eventually write out the pattern and have it tested at the ville but for now only a picture. What do you think? Its for my nephew who is due to arrive in September.

Another WIP

I started this last week but put it on the back burner when i started the 5 corner granny blanket. Today i am in the process of finishing it because theres only 2 months until Evan arrives and i have so much more to make. What do you think so far?

Progress On Blanket

I decided not to hurry and finish this so i will probably gift it to someone though i dont know who yet. I am about half way done and very pleased at how it's turning out. Hopefully i will have the motivation to finish it soon. BTW my mom finally has an appointment friday so we'll find out more about when her surgery will be. I will post as soon as i know more. Also is anyone visiting my blog? i feel no one is, if you are please comment and let me know you've been here. I feel very lonely.

5 Corner Granny baby blanket

I started this yesterday hoping to get it done in time for our yard sale this weekend. With my mom off work, having surgery soon and my dad being disabled, we are fairly broke right now. We'll need extra money when she has the surgery. If they send her to Toledo for surgery, then we'll need even more money for gas and a motel room.Anyways enough of that and on to pictures. I havent got very far but i hope today i can get almost done with it.

Mittens & Mom

I have finished 3 more pair of mittens and more on the way. I am also making a few pair right now for my cousin's baby who was just born July 5th.

On to another subject, my mom. She was recently in the hospital with a collapsed lung. This is the second time it has happened in the last year and a half. She now has to have major surgery to prevent it from happening again. They'll have to crack open her chest to be able to do what they need to do. I am so scared and worried right now and so is she. The doctor said she almost died from the last one and if i would have happened when she was sleeping she would have died. She also said that it could happen again any minute now and it could kill her. We'll know more by the end of the week and next week so i will be blogging about this again.

More Mittens

Since i came up with this pattern i've been making them like crazy. I have been testing it with different hook sizes and different yarn or multiple strands of yarn. The blue/yellow mittens is used two strands of Baby Coordinates and an F hook.For the Hot pink pair i used RHSS ww yarn and a G hook. Well im off to make more mittens......

Bri's Baby Mittens

Do Not sell my pattern. You may sell items made from it.( if you have used my pattern(s) i would love to see, if you would like to share please send pictures to crochetrascal@aol.com)

WW yarn or Baby Yarn
Size G hook (for bigger or smaller mittens just use a different sized hook)

Chain 5, slip st in the first stitch to make loop.
Ch 3, 11 double crochet in loop( 12 total Double crochets (ch3 counts at dc)) Slip st into ch 3
Ch 3, *dc in next st, 2 dc in the next*(repeat from * until end of row) sl in ch 3.
Do single crochets for the next 2 rows.
Do dc for the next row.
*Single crochet in the next 3 stitches, skip next st*(repeat from * for the rest of the row)
*Ch 3, skip next stitch, slip stitch in next stitch*,(repeat from * all the way around)

Fasten off and weave in ends.

Ties:
Take two long strands of yarn or ribbon and weave it in all the way around the mitten and tie in a bow.

Ta da! you got mittens
